Leisure Homes' plans for development is a G+15-storey deluxe furnished hotel apartment measuring approximately 250,000 sq.ft. in total built-up area, located at the crescent of the Jebel Ali Palm Island.

Overview of the Palm Jebel Ali

Nakheel has become synonymous with the development of the Palm islands, 5km long islands reclaimed from the Arabian Gulf which have become internationally acclaimed and the “jewel in the crown” of Dubai’s property developments. The Palm islands address one of Dubai’s shortcomings, the fact that it has a relatively limited coastline for an international tourist destination. At a combined cost of US$ 3 billion, excluding the cost of building the planned hotels and villas, the Palm islands will create 120km of new beaches in Dubai.

Each island will be in the shape of a palm tree, with 17 fronds, a 2km trunk connected to the mainland and a barrier reef, known as the Crescent, surrounding it. The reef will house up to 50 hotels, while the trunk will include marinas and retail outlets. Development is being undertaken in three phases: the first, which is now completed, involved dredging and reclamation, the second involves infrastructure development, and the third construction of buildings and amenities.

The Palm, Jumeirah is the first of its kind anywhere in the world, and consists of apartments, townhouses, garden villas, signature villas and 50 five-star hotels, and will accommodate 15,500 people in 4,900 residential units. The reef of The Palm, Jumeirah will house the Atlantis resort, a US$ 1.2 billion project being undertaken by Nakheel in joint venture with Kerzner International. The resort will have a 1,000 room hotel and the Gulf’s largest water park. The Palm, Jumeirah is being marketed as a retreat rather than a destination, with the emphasis on relaxation.
